The film was received well at the Tamil box office as well. The film went on screen and passed the 100-day mark. It was the second victorious project for the Fazil-Sathyaraj duo.
En Bommukutti Ammavukku Movie Story: A couple (Suhasini and Sathyaraj) who lost their daughter in an accident decides to adopt a girl from the local orphanage. But problems arise when the child’s real mother (Rekha) and father (Raghuvaran) seek to find her.
